A typical "Katie Day"

Unless we are making a public appearance, Katie's wardrobe consists of either pajamas or one of her many princess outfits. Here she is sporting a sleeping beauty princess skirt and snow white shoes. I think we have trained her well. She walks around taking pictures of EVERYTHING with her new princess camera too!
And here she is sporting a fabulous slept on 2 day hair-do and of course her super cool sunglasses. Aunt Kara came to visit last week and the girls and I drove with her to a basketball interview with Lipscomb University. While she was inside we waited in the car and watched a movie......in our pajamas of course.
Brookie in all her cuteness! She now weighs 9 lbs. 7 ounces and is 21 inches long!
Now is this cute or what? Lu-Lu loves to sleep Mommy-Daddy's bed (as Katie calls it) and has gotten pretty good at wiggling one arm out of her swaddler. She is now 9 lbs. 14 ounces and 21 1/4 inches long.
Daddy and his little girls. :)

Happy Easter

Here we are Easter Sunday. The girls were able to be blessed last week and Chris did a wonderful job. By the time we got home the girls were STARVING and we had guests over so I was not able to take a lot of pictures of the girls. However, I will be putting the dresses back on for a photo shoot soon (for baby books) and will post more pictures then.
Chris and our friend Lane made an Easter egg hunt for the kids in the basement. Since there was only 2 kiddos to hunt eggs there were a possible 35+ eggs for each kid. Katie, however, filled her basket to the brim, hogging the eggs, and was strategic while Jake was stopping to look inside his eggs and get the good stuff in them. Chris and I were so proud.....that is the Duncan competitive spirit!

She had a great Easter. This picture pretty much sums it up!

Too cute for words

The girls are getting big and sleeping better (yippee!) We estimate that they weigh about 7 lbs. each, maybe more. :) We will get exact numbers at the doctor in 2 weeks.

Last night they slept from 11:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. Now that was a small miracle! They seem to be right on the same little schedules, which is exactly what I want. It is pretty amazing how they react to each other. At night when they are sleeping next to each other and one starts to cry, they can scream bloody murder practically in the other's ear and the sleeping sister won't even budge. However once you move one, the other wakes up in less than 5 minutes if not sooner!

My goal was to keep them in until Easterish and try to avoid the cold weather, flu
& RSV season. We are getting close to our mark, but I have found that "getting out" is a LOT of work. I am sure that won't slow us down. :)

The Big Sister

All 3 girls together! It is hard to believe that Katie is a big sister.
Little Lauren after bathtime.
Brookie Cookie after her bath....she was not too thrilled!
Katie had a great time this afternoon at this season's first Easter Egg Hunt. She found lots of eggs which we brought home with us. However, she didn't figure out until just now (literally while I was typing this) that there was candy inside. Thanks to Papa...she is totally addicted to CHOCOLATE.

Tye and the girls

Uncle Tye came for part of his Spring Break. He was suppose to be here on Friday night and didn't get here until Sunday night due to the snow storm that crippled Nashville. (We got 3 inches that lasted less than 24 hours and everyone freaked!) We always love it when Tye comes, Katie especially. We think she might have a crush on her uncle as she does not let him out of her sight!
Double duty......hang on!

Katie's Art Project

One lovely Friday morning Katie woke me up as usual. We came downstairs, I got her some milk and we laid on the couch and watched the disney channel which included My Friends Tigger and Pooh, followed by Little Einsteins. However, I was so exhausted that I fell asleep. I was afraid this would happen so I put Katie on the inside of the couch and even had both my arms around her so that I would notice if she got up. I think the lack of sleep has gotten to me because I had no clue that she had crawled over me and completely stripped our blankets and pillows off the couch too! You can see what became of the next few minutes. Katie found a blue sharpie marker and colored our kitchen cabinets, wood floor, oven, dishwasher and herself! Crazy thing is that I had just barely put that sharpie in the drawer that one of the electricians had left at our house. I brought it downstairs and not even thinking, threw it in the drawer. What are the chances?
