We have moved!

Yes, the crazies have moved.....again! However, I for one am SO happy that we did. We now live quite a bit closer to everything we need and it has made a very busy life, a little bit easier in a few ways. Unpacking has been a nightmare but I have almost found a place for all of our stuff.
Above is Lauren and Brooklyn (6 months) in a box before it was packed. Below is Katie at (almost 4 months old) when we very first moved to Nashville, in a box I was trying to unpack. Wow things have changed in the last 3 years. 3 kids, and 3 Nashville area moves.

Aunt "Pawa" and Ryan come to visit

We were so excited to have Kara and her basketball teammate Ryan here at our house this past weekend. It was way too short but super fun and we love that Kara is close enough now to have these short, but sweet, visits.
On a side note, this is Lauren's new way of sleeping. The girl LOVES pillows. When (if) she is in our bed she totally hogs the pillow and sleeps so well. Ever since she was really little she loved them.
And here is my "big helper." Katie is the best at getting me diapers and wet wipes. She also takes 5 more wet wipes for herself and her babies which I have to wrestle her for, but I love her help! Today after I got her lunch she said, "Mom, you are my big helper!" I love the things she says each day, they totally crack me up. :)

Crawling, sitting, pulling-up and stairs...and all in that order

The girls are all over the place. Within the past month they have starting crawling (Brooklyn 7 months, September 9)
and crawling (Lauren, September 11)
and sitting (Brooklyn)
and standing (Brooklyn left, Lauren right)
and going up stairs. It has been a busy month at our house!

The Pre-School Queen

Katie started preschool this month and LOVES it. In fact on her first day of school as I walked her to her class her teacher, Mrs. Tiffany, asked her if she wanted to say good-bye to her Mom. Katie replied....."ummmm, no I just want to go to preschool.....and in she went, never looking back. (However, I did ask her if I could get a hug and she did come running back to give me one.) Her teachers say she is the happiest person to be there and she loves art and dancing!

California Dreamin

Last month we were able to go to Laguna Beach, California and spend some wonderful time with Chris' Aunt Terry and Uncle Evan. They live in Phoenix and decided it was way too hot there in the month of August and temporarily moved to California. Lucky for us, the love us and invited us along. I don't think they were expecting 9 (very heavy) luggage bags, 3 car seats, and 3 very noisy girls but they kept us anyway. :)
Kara was able to come with us (thank Heaven's!) and while we were there we:
Practiced "trying" to crawl (Aunt Terry, Lauren & Brooklyn)
played games (Uncle Evan and Katie playing a Dora Memory game.....which even the grown-ups had a hard time with)
went to the beach! (Kara, Katie and Chris busy building a sand castle)
and relaxed! Is this picture not hilarious? She (Brookie) just fell asleep like this on the floor. hehe Terry and Evan also took us to Sea World which was a HUGE hit for Miss Katie. Just last week she finally stopped asking my every morning if we can "go to the beach" or "go see the whales."
